Will Riley, a five-star wing in the class of 2025, will announce his decision on June 23, his coach Trey Morin of the Phelps School told ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-8 Canadian is considering Alabama, Arizona, Kentucky, Illinois and the New Zealand Breakers of the NBL on his list.
Riley has had a huge spring EYBL season, averaging 21.9 points per game for UPlay Canada, which is good for sixth on the circuit.
The Illinois news comes in wake of former Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua taking a new position with the Illini this offseason. Antigua was a top recruiter under John Calipari at Kentucky, and the duo have since parted ways with Calipari’s move to Arkansas.
