North Carolina has added Georgia Tech transfer wing Tyzhaun Claude, his agent Corey Marcum confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-8, 230-pound native of Goldsboro, N.C., averaged 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds last season as a senior. In 51 collegiate starts, he has scored 944 points and grabbed 639 boards.
“I was a UNC fan growing up and Coach Hubert [Davis] made me feel like I was important to him,” Claude told ZAGSBLOG. “I know I can bring certain things to this team that translate to winning even if it doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. I’m going to give 110% every time I’m on the court.”
Claude spent two seasons at Morehead State and one at Western Carolina before Georgia Tech.
He joins Cade Tyson (Belmont) and Ven-Allen Lubin (Vanderbilt).
