Class of 2026 three-star guard Myles Jones has committed to Stanford. He made the announcement on his Instagram page.
Jones — the 6-foot-3, 160-pound guard from Modesto Christian (CA) and the Jalen Green Elite AAU program — took an unofficial visit to Stanford the weekend of Aug. 29. Now, he’s a Cardinal.
“I chose Stanford because I can get the best education,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “And I can pursue a great college basketball career with the goal of the NBA. I will bring a skillset that will contribute to winning basketball. I have an all-around skillset but I think what separates my skillset from most is my ability to shoot and pass to my teammates. Overall my goal is to win a national championship.”
His father Devon Jones told ZAGSBLOG: “Myles values the education he will receive at Stanford first and foremost. Stanford has always been one of his dream schools. He also values the relationship he has built with Kyle Smith and his staff. Coach Smith has a great track record of developing players like Myles over the years. Myles feels he will bring a lot of important skillsets that will translate to Stanford basketball. He shoots over 45% from 3 and has a high basketball IQ and loves to create plays for teammates.”
The guard had a great summer with Jalen Green Elite and had several games with scoring explosions. One of his most impressive games was a 29-point outing vs. Indiana Elite.
He becomes Stanford’s first 2026 commit.
