Several of the top programs in the Big 10 and SEC have big time visitors on campus this weekend. Auburn, LSU, Indiana, Ohio State and Purdue are all hosting multiple prospects. ZAGSBLOG is here to break it all down.

    Auburn

    Visitors: Chris Cenac, Shon Abaev.

Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers are set to host two top-30 prospects this weekend. Both Cenac and Abaev will be able to tour Auburn’s facilities and meet face-to-face with the coaching staff. It’s also SEC opening night for the football squad against Arkansas.

Starting with Cenac, he currently has a top 12 of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas and UConn. He’s already taken official visits to Houston and Tennessee earlier this month and has Auburn scheduled, as well as Kentucky (Sept. 27) and LSU (Nov. 9). Cenac will announce sometime in January or February. The center has had a meteoric rise into the top-10 of the rankings this summer, stemming from his NBA top 100 Camp MVP performance.

Oddly enough, Abaev is another prospect who’s had a huge recruiting surge with his play this summer. Abaev was named the MVP of at the recent UA Elite 24 game. Abaev doesn’t have an official top schools list, but he’s taken visits to USC, Dayton and Syracuse recently. He has Cincinnati (Oct. 2-3) and Maryland (Oct. 8-9) scheduled in addition to Auburn this weekend. Abaev is waiting to see how his recruitment plays out.

“I don’t have an official time line yet,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “I feel like this is a decision I want to talk with me and my family [about] and make the best decision for me.”

    LSU

    Visitors: Jalen Reece, Mazi Mosley.

Matt McMahon has secured one commit in the 2025 class in big man Matthew Gilhool, and the Tigers are looking to add more. Both Reece and Mosley are four-star prospects ranked inside the top-65 and are top targets.

Reece is down to seven schools: Cincinnati, Dayton, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Providence and USF. He’s had some visits recently in Dayton and Cincinnati, who are both heavily involved, and has others scheduled to Penn State (Sept. 27) and Providence (Oct. 11). Mosley doesn’t have an official top schools list, but he’s taken visits to Michigan and Iowa and LSU is his last remaining visit scheduled. Mosley plays high school hoops at Montverde Academy (FL).

    Indiana

Visitors: Braylon Mullins, Eric Reibe, Trent Sisley

Mike Woodson and company have a busy weekend with three prospects on campus, two of which are top-30 guys. Let’s start with the first name: Mullins. He has had an intriguing recruitment and has taken almost too many visits to count, including officials and unofficials. Mullins has a top 10 list right now, but his high school coach told ZAGSBLOG he’ll be narrowing it down to five next week. The three schools that seem to really be in play are Indiana, Kentucky and UConn. Mullins has visited the Huskies (Aug. 3), Michigan (Sept. 7) and North Carolina (Sept. 14). He is still slated to visit Kentucky (Oct. 25) in addition to Indiana this weekend, but that Kentucky date may get moved up. Mullins recently canceled several other visits.

Reibe is another prospect who has had some movement in his recruitment lately. After taking trips to Kansas and UConn this month, he will close with Indiana and Oregon (Oct. 4). Creighton is another school he’s visited officially and that is in the picture. He’s enjoyed all of his visits so far and Indiana could certainly make a push with Woodson’s big man-centered offense.

Sisley — a top-75 power forward from Montverde Academy (FL) — rounds out the visitors for the weekend. He’s already tripped Purdue and has a couple others lined up including Notre Dame (Sept. 28) and Michigan State (Oct. 12). His top five includes Iowa, Indiana, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Purdue.

    Ohio State

    Visitors: Davion Hannah, Niko Bundalo

Jake Diebler and the Buckeyes are another school with a commit in the 2025 class: guard Dorian Jones. They remain involved with several 2025 prospects, including Hannah and Bundalo. Firstly, let’s talk about Hannah. He currently sits with a top nine of Alabama, Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and Xavier and has added Missouri to the mix. The two recent visits were Alabama and Missouri, both who are perceived to be in top-tier position to land him. Hannah recently canceled some official visits and after Ohio State, he’ll close with Michigan State (Sept. 27) and Cincinnati (Oct. 12).

Bundalo is an interesting prospect to keep an eye on for Ohio State, as he’s an Ohio native. He recently transferred to Prolific Prep and added Kansas to the mix of his top eight schools Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pitt, Texas, UConn and Xavier. So far he’s seen UConn and Michigan State and has another visit set to North Carolina (Oct. 4). Bundalo would like to sign early in November.

    Purdue

    Visitors: Jalen Haralson, Sebastian Williams-Adams

Fresh off a run to the national championship game, Purdue could have some recruiting momentum. And they are hosting two prospects ranked in the top-40 this weekend. The Haralson visit is big for a few reasons. For one, he’s a five-star and an in-state guy. Secondly, he’s nearing a decision and Purdue will have the last word. That could be big for Matt Painter.

Moving on to Williams-Adams, he has just completed an official visit to Kansas, who is perceived to be the favorite to land the talented power forward. Still, Williams-Adams will continue to take his official visits and may even schedule some others, he told ZAGSBLOG. The power forward has already taken Auburn and Texas A&M — and after Purdue — he will see SMU (Sept. 27) and Oklahoma State (Oct. 4). The visits he’s looking to add after Oklahoma State include Baylor and Vanderbilt. There could be a long way to go before an official decision from Williams-Adams.
