  • Four-star guard Derek Dixon confirms announcement date

    Class of 2025 four-star point guard Derek Dixon will announce his decision on Sept. 27, his birthday, he confirmed.

    Dixon previously told ZAGSBLOG he planned to announce on his birthday.

    The 6-foot-3 combo guard from Gonzaga High School (D.C.) and Team Takeover is down to North Carolina, Pitt, Virginia and Vanderbilt. He is ranked the No. 6 combo guard in the Class of 2025, per 247Sports.com.

    As for his game, Dixon has one of the purest looking jump shots in the 2025 class. He averaged 13.9 points, 3.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds at Peach Jam in seven games with Team Takeover. Dixon’s squad fell in the Peach semifinals and finished the summer with an overall record of 20-2. Dixon is ranked the No. 58 overall prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports and the No. 3 player from Washington, D.C.
