David Bolden, a 6-foot point guard out of Nicolet (WI.), has committed to NJIT, he told ZAGSBLOG Monday.
The Kevin Looney Addidas AAU Product chose the Highlanders over UW-Milwaukee and Wright State.
“I committed to NJIT to add to what I feel is already a great program on the rise with a very passionate coaching staff and a tremendous amount of talent,” he told ZAGSBLOG.
Bolden is a high-impact point guard, who shined for Nicolet over the summer as five-star former backcourt-mate Davion Hannah went to Link Academy for his senior year.
“I will bring Leadership and hard work on and off the court, along with a defensive mindset and my playmaking and shooting abilities,” Bolden continued. “I just want to contribute however I am able to for this program and be an extension of the coaching staff as a Point guard.”
“He is a great student in the class room, he’s a leader, coachable, lockdown defender, good shooter and a great point guard,” head coach Terrance Smith said. Bolden is NJIT’s first commit in head coach Grant Billmeier’s class of 2025. The program landed six commits in the 2024 cycle, including New Jersey natives John Kelly (Rutgers Prep) and Malachi Arrington (Immaculate Conception).
