“Ryder Frost has been part of the Middlesex Magic since the 8th grade, and everyone in our program extremely proud of him,” Middlesex coach Mike Crotty told ZAGSBLOG. “I have had the chance to coach him for the last three years and it has been a joy. In my opinion, he is the best shooter in the country, and he’s easily one of the best to ever wear a Middlesex Magic uniform! We feel like he will be an excellent fit for Coach Shrewsberry and Notre Dame, and we can’t wait to see him play for the Irish!” Frost joins a class that was ranked No. 5 nationally before his commitment and that includes five-star guard Jalen Haralson and four-star forward Brady Koehler. “I’m a competitor,” Frost said of what he’ll bring to Notre Dame. “I’m someone who wants to win. I’m someone that will work hard everyday to impact winning in every way I can. I’m excited to get to campus and get to work.” Graphic via League Ready. Ryder Frost, the four-star wing from Phillips Exeter Academy (N.H.), committed to Notre Dame on Friday.
Ranked the No. 85 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, Frost chose the Irish over Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse.
“I just loved everything about my visit,” Frost said live to 247Sports. “Coach [Micah] Shrewsberry, coach [Mike] Farrelly and the whole coaching staff really built a great relationship with me and my parents and my coaches. It just felt like home. I connected with the players a lot, feel like I’ll fit in well with their system, bring that winning culture back to Notre Dame. So I’m really excited.
Frost was a key piece for the Middlesex Magic this summer on the UAA circuit and shot 45% from 3.
