Class of 2025 four-star guard Acaden Lewis has a decision date. He will announce next Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. ET at the Trinidad Recreation Center in Washington, D.C.
Lewis — the 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard from Sidwell Friends School (DC) and the Team Durant Nike EYBL AAU program — is down to a final three of Duke, Kentucky and UConn.
UConn is done recruiting American players for the Class of 2025, a source told ZAGSBLOG, leaving Kentucky and Duke as the two options for Lewis.
Lewis recently broke down each for ZAGSBLOG: Duke: “That was really cool because that was the last one of the Blue Bloods. On top of that, they have somewhat of the DMV pipeline with guys like Trevor Keels, Darren Harris and Pat Ngongba. They’ve had a pipeline and successful guys from this area, so it’s great to see that they think I could be the next big thing from this area. I have a great relationship with coach [Jon] Scheyer and his staff; they just seem fired up about me and think I can come in and play big minutes right away.” Kentucky: “[The Kentucky] message is that I come in and have the opportunity to run the show. The visit was good, I enjoyed it.” “They have a lot of experience in that staff: Coach [Mark] Pope went to the NBA, and coach [Jason] Hart went to Syracuse and then played in the league for 10 years, so he’s an NBA vet. Kentucky is one of the biggest brands in basketball as well.” Follow Sam Lance on Twitter Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter Follow ZAGSBLOGHoops on Instagram And Like ZAGS on FacebookUConn is done recruiting American players for 2025, per source
