Minnesota has picked up a commitment from Jacob Ross, a four-star small forward out of SoCal Academy. The 6-foot-7, 170-pound small forward chose the Gophers over Charleston, Coastal Carolina Old Dominion and others.
Ross committed fresh off his official visit to Minnesota the weekend of Oct. 26.
Ross is ranked the No. 4 overall prospect in the state of California by ESPN, giving him four-star status. He played AAU basketball this past summer with Team Loaded on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. One of his impressive games included a 12-point outing in a win over the Southern Assault.
This is Ben Johnson and Minnesota’s second commit of the 2025 class. Ross joins three-star guard Kai Shinholster. Follow Sam Lance on Twitter Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter Follow ZAGSBLOGHoops on Instagram And Like ZAGS on FacebookJacob Ross 6’6 with a 7’0 wingspan!

Not too many Wing at his size, length, & athleticism can do what he does with the basketball. Ross is one of the top Wings in the 2025 class. Playing both sides is the ball matters!@Jacob_RossO5 pic.twitter.com/KsuF2yN9mS
