Class of 2025 guard Reggie Grodin has committed to Fordham, he told ZAGSBLOG. Why did he choose the Rams?

“Because I have a great relationship with the coach,” Grodin said. “[It’s] in a top 10 conference in the country with real opportunity for playing time as a freshman. It’s 20 minutes from my house and it’s a great academic school with a top-15 business school.”

Grodin — the 6-foot-5 guard out the The Newman School in Boston — was a sparkplug off the bench for NH Lightning’s Nike EYBL AAU program this summer. Every time his squad needed a big offensive rebound, defensive stop or shot to fall, Grodin was there to make the play.

“Reggie was an important piece to the team,” four-star forward and JMU commit Preston Fowler said. “He didn’t need to score to impact the game at all. He impacted on the defensive end and rebounding. He’s a good teammate who never complains even when the ball isn’t going his way. And he’s a guy who gave us great energy off the bench and we could always depend him to help the team.”

Grodin joins guard Troy Henderson in Fordham’s 2025 recruiting class. More on Grodin’s background as a person and player can be found here.
