With his latest win over Duke — 75-72 Tuesday night in Las Vegas — Kansas coach Bill Self continued his mastery of his fellow Blue Bloods.

Self, one of two active head coaches with two NCAA championship rings (Dan Hurley), owns wins this season over North Carolina, Duke and Michigan State.

Kansas is now 23-8 against UConn, UCLA, UNC, Duke and Kentucky in the Bill Self era.

Self holds these records against fellow Blue Bloods during his Kansas tenure:

    UNC (5-0)

    Duke (4-2)

Kentucky (8-5) – 6-2 in the last decade

    UConn (2-0)

    UCLA (4-1)

Self, a Naismith Hall of Famer who has 801 career wins, is now 134-77 (.635) against AP Top 25 opponents as head coach at Kansas.

. He also ranks third all time in AP Top 15 matchups behind Duke’s Coach K, who was courtside Tuesday night in Las Vegas, and former UNC coach Dean Smith.
