Bosnian guard Harun Zrno called the Wisconsin staff “amazing” following his official visit to the Big Ten school.

“Wisconsin was very good,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “Great game [Friday over Minnesota], team is playing good basketball and Coach Greg [Gard] and staff are amazing. [The] fan base is huge and the arena is always packed. I liked everything that Wisconsin has to offer.”

He added: “[Their] message was clear — they want me and I would fit good in that style of play.”

The 6-foot-7, 20-year-old plays for Slavija Istocno Sarajevo in Bosnia’s Division I. He’s averaging 19.4 points, 3.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 63% from the field and 47% from deep. He’s gone for 20+ twice this season.

After visiting Indiana and Wisconsin, he’s headed to Creighton (Jan. 13) and Virginia (Jan. 15). He flies home to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on Jan. 18 and hopes to decide soon thereafter.

“I don’t have timetable for my decision, to be honest, but when I go back home on the 18th I will talk to my family and make decision within week or so,” he said.

As for what skilset he’ll bring to college, Zrno said: “Everyone is looking at me as a shooter but I bring a lot more than just shooting the ball. I like to play defense hard, attack off the dribble and find my teammates for easy plays. I learned how to play with the ball and I like having the ball in my hands. Anything to do in order for my team to win the games.”
