Looking for the best two teams in the Big 10 conference to start the year? Look no further than the state of Michigan.

Both the Michigan Wolverines (13-3, 5-0) and the Michigan State Spartans (14-2, 5-0) sit atop the conference, including a 3-0 record on the road. The Wolverines have won four straight, and the Spartans nine straight games. Both teams are ranked in the AP Top-25 and will likely rise come Monday.

During Sunday’s action, Michigan walked away with a 91-75 win against Washington at home, and Michigan State defeated Northwestern on the road, 78-68.

These two programs will face off twice toward the end of the season, and both games will likely be huge in determining the regular season champion. The Spartans travel to Ann Arbor on Friday, Feb. 21 and then Michigan will play the return game in Lansing to end the regular season on Sunday, March. 9.
