Rupp Arena was rocking on Tuesday night en route to Kentucky’s 75-64 win over Tennessee. The prospect that experienced it all? Five-star forward Nate Ament.
Ament — the 6-foot-9, 185-pound forward from Highland School (VA) — is the highest-ranked 2025 prospect yet to choose a school. He released a top-11 schools in January featuring Alabama, Arkansas, BYU, Duke, Georgetown, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Notre Dame, Texas, and Tennessee. He’s now seen both Kentucky games vs. Tennessee, the other one while he was officially visiting the Volunteers. Kentucky and Mark Pope won both games. Ament has also visited Duke in February, as well as Louisville, Notre Dame and Texas this fall/winter. A decision timeline for Ament is unclear. If you are recruit Nate Ament …and you attended that game tonight (he did), and see how these guys have been embraced since April, see how they beat top 15 teams, see the opportunity to improve your game and be coached up…look you may go elsewhere for money, or friends, or… pic.twitter.com/AWwMkyTpgp

Recently, Ament announced his first-ever equity NIL deal with Fanstake, a fan-driven platform that is expanding into college basketball. Currently, Louisville has contributed the most money at $33,320. Kentucky comes in second at $18,485 and Duke sits in third with $5,050. Kentucky has shifted its class of 2025 recruiting focus to Ament after missing out on five-star forward Caleb Wilson to North Carolina. The Wildcats already have three prospects signed including five-star guard Jasper Johnson, four-star guard Acaden Lewis and four-star center Malachi Moreno. Photo via Jack Pilgrim of KSR.
