Andre Curbelo’s well-traveled college career has come to another turning point.

Southern Miss coach Jay Lardner announced Saturday that Curbelo had been dismissed from the team, per Andrew Abadie.

The 6-foot senior from Puerto Rico was suspended in November for disciplinary reasons.

Known as a magician with the ball in his hands, he was averaging 9.8 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds for Southern Miss, which is 10-19 and 12th in the Sun Belt Conference.

Curbelo transferred to Southern Miss in 2023 after spending one season at St. John’s where he clashed with then-coach Mike Anderson and two years at Illinois before that.
