While Cooper Flagg will be on his way out of Cameron Indoor Stadium after this season, the Blue Devils have another potential superstar freshman coming in.
Duke commit Cam Boozer has been named a finalist for the Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year award, the most prestigious award in high school sports and the award Flagg captured in 2024.
Boozer won the same award as a sophomore in the 2022-23 season. He is ranked the No. 2 prospect in the class of 2025 by 247 Sports, Rivals and On3.
The other two finalists for the award are top 10 prospects and 2025 McDonald’s All-Americans Brayden Burries and Caleb Wilson. Burries is ranked the No. 9 recruit in his class per 247 sports and No. 10 per ESPN. The unsigned guard recently poured in 44 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the California Open Division state tournament. He is being recruited by Tennessee, Oregon, Alabama and Arizona, among others.
Wilson is ranked the No. 5 recruit in his class per Rivals and No. 6 per ESPN, he is committed to play at UNC next season.
