When March Madness comes around, the spotlight falls on the basketball court and the coaches and the players take center stage. But McNeese State’s story has everyone clamoring about the program’s team manager.

Amir “Aura” Khan is beloved by local fans but the NCAA Tournament has really put him in the national spotlight, and he is flourishing.

Matt Norlander reported that Khan has already garnered over $100k in NIL deals and more are soon to come. He has become a flat-out celebrity with the program having three dedicated security officers with him at all times and even his own baseball card.

The viral star’s connections haven’t stopped at NIL either. His celebrity status with the program has him rubbing elbows with some of the biggest stars in basketball fandom including Spike Lee.

Whether or not McNeese State has a lot of basketball left in them this season is to be seen but one thing is for certain a star has emerged in that program and he does not play basketball.
