Duke’s superstar freshman continues to rack up the awards as the program marches towards a chance at a national championship.

Cooper Flagg was named the National Player of the Year and National Freshman Player of the Year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) on Tuesday. He is only the fourth player to win both awards in the same season, along with Zion Williamson, Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant.

The Maine native has led No. 1 Duke in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks per game, on top of being in the top 10 in the ACC in four major statistical categories.

The award will be presented to Flagg at the Men’s Final Four in San Antonio, where he will also be a finalist for the Naismith National Player of the Year award.

Flagg and the Blue Devils will take the court on Thursday for the Sweet 16 against Caleb Love and Arizona.
