UNC is looking to retool after a disappointing season.

Arizona transfer Henri Veesaar will join the Tar Heels next season, he announced Friday.

The seven-foot forward averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds in his sophomore season with the Wildcats. Veesarr played both seasons of his collegiate career at Arizona.

He will join the ACC to play under head coach Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels, who have also picked up West Virginia guard Jonathan Powell through the portal on Tuesday.

UNC finished 13-7 in conference play this season, good enough for 6th in the ACC and a bid in the NCAA Tournament, but their 1-12 record against Quad 1 opponents left much to be desired from one of college basketball’s most historically great programs.
