Will Wade hasn’t wasted any time on his recruitment process once he came on board as NC State’s newest head coach.

Four-star prospect Matthew Able has committed to joining the Wolfpack, he announced on Saturday. He is ranked No. 31 on ESPN, No. 21 on On3 and No. 30 on 247Sports. The Florida native had committed to Miami but decommitted after legendary head coach Jim Larrañaga stepped down from the program.

NC State also signed McNeese State transfer Quadir Copeland on Friday. The program is coming off a difficult season, going 5-15 in the ACC and failing to make the NCAA Tournament only a year after making it to the Final Four. So far, they have had a promising offseason, signing a new head coach, making a meaningful transfer portal acquisition and securing one of the top prospects still available in the 2025 recruiting class.
