Kentucky has landed one of the best point guards in the portal.
Pittsburgh transfer Jaland Lowe will suit up for Kentucky next season, a source confirmed on Saturday.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in his sophomore season. The All-ACC guard played both seasons of his collegiate career at Pittsburgh.
He will head to the SEC to play for head coach Mark Pope and the Wildcats. Kentucky was previously linked to Princeton’s Xavian Lee, considered one of the best point guards available in the transfer portal. With this move, the high-scoring Ivy League guard will remain available on the market.
Kentucky went 10-8 in the SEC this season before marching to a Sweet 16 in Pope’s first season. They were eliminated by fellow SEC program Tennessee.
