Georgetown secured its second transfer commitment in one day.

Maryland transfer DeShawn Harris-Smith commited to Georgetown, he announced Sunday.

The 6-foot-5 sophomore averaged 2.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game this past year. He averaged 7.3 points in his freshman year with Maryland.

He will be joining the Hoyas in the BIG EAST under head coach Ed Cooley. Georgetown also signed UConn transfer Isaiah Abraham on Sunday. Abraham, like Harris-Smith, is an underclassman, suggesting that Georgetown is looking for a youth movement as they try to retool their roster.
