Jai Lucas has secured another transfer portal player for Miami.

New Mexico transfer Tru Washington will play for Miami next season, he announced on his Instagram on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 11.1 points, 4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in his sophomore season. Washington has played both of his first two seasons in college with New Mexico but is now on his way to play for the Hurricanes.

Miami hired Lucas as their newest coach this season after long-time head coach Jim Larrañaga stepped down from the position. With a new regime, the Hurricanes are hoping to turn the page on what was a disappointing season and bounce back in a major way next season.
