Northwestern has secured its second transfer portal acquisition.

Holy Cross transfer Max Green will play for the Wildcats next season, he announced Saturday.

The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 14.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assist per game in his freshman year. The Louisville native will play his second season at Northwestern for head coach Chris Collins in the Big Ten.

The Wildcats went 7-13 in conference play this season and lost in the second round of the Big Ten tournament to Oregon. They are hoping a high-scoring guard like Green can help them be more competitive in one of college basketballs best conferences.
