Pittsburgh has secured its third transfer portal acquisition.

South Alabama transfer Barry Dunning Jr. will play for the Panthers next season, he announced Saturday.

The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in his junior year. Pitt will be his fourth team in as many seasons. Dunning’s career began at Arkansas and was followed by UAB and South Alabama.

The Panthers went 8-12 in the ACC this season and lost in the first round of the ACC Tournament. Since then, they have added Iowa State transfers Dishon Jackson and Nojus Indrusaitis and are hoping that these moves could contribute to a more competitive season in the ACC next year.
