Tulsa transfer Matt Reed commits to Iona

Matt Reed, a 6-foot-9, 240-pound Tulsa transfer forward, has committed to Iona.

Reed averaged 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game last season with Tulsa while shooting 39.3% from the field. He’s spent the past two seasons with the Golden Hurricanes. In 2023-24, Reed averaged 4.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, which earned him a spot on the AAC All-Freshman team.

The forward is the third portal addition for Iona this offseason under new head coach Dan Geriot. Reed joins Toby Harris and Ryan Renfro.
