Kevin Willard is on the board with his second transfer portal commit since becoming the head coach of Villanova. Former Temple guard Zion Stanford will be transferring to the Wildcats, per Joe Tipton of On3.

Stanford — the 6-foot-6, 205-pound guard from Philadelphia — will be returning home after two seasons at Temple. Last season, Stanford was a key piece for the Owls, starting in 14 games and averaging 13.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He had six games with 20+ points and shot 45.5% from the field and 34.9% from 3-point range.

Out of high school, Stanford was a three-star prospect and was a two-time all-state player at Philadelphia’s West Catholic High. He led them to first-ever Class AAA state championship as a senior.

Stanford will join former Maryland guard Malachi Palmer in Villanova’s transfer portal class this cycle. The Wildcats also have a class of 2025 commit in guard Christian Jeffrey.
