NEW YORK — Brooklyn Lincoln guard Isaiah Whitehead will visit Indiana on Sunday following the Elite 24 game Saturday night in Brooklyn, Lincoln coach Tiny Morton confirmed to SNY.tv.

“Yes, it’s been talked about for a while,” Morton said.

In the above interview with SNY.tv, Whitehead said of Indiana: “They’re showing me a lot of love. They have a great fanbase. The coaches are great. Noah Vonleh has been talking to me a little bit about the school, so it’s just a great program.”

Asked if will take an official to Indiana, Whitehead said, “Yeah, definitely.”

Indiana recently saw shooting guard James Blackmon decommit, but Blackmon will visit Indiana Saturday and Michigan State Sunday, according to Jeff Rabjohns.

Virginia shooting guard Robert Johnson, who is considering seven schools including Indiana, also arrives at Indiana Saturday evening, and 2015 New Jersey wing Malachi Richardson also visits this weekend.

Morton said he thought the 6-foot-4 Whitehead — the Rivals No. 17 player in the Class of 2014 — could potentially be a good fit at Indiana.

“Yes, head coach [Tom] Crean is known for having tough guards,” Morton said. “Tough players, that’s what you need.”

Whitehead told SNY.tv Thursday he is also considering Arizona, UCLA, Minnesota and Syracuse.

He is slated to visit Syracuse at the end of the month for their Elite Camp.

Syracuse just got a pledge from point guard Kaleb Joseph, but Whitehead believes there’s still a place for him there.

“I don’t think one guard committing would change that but we’ll see when I go visit what they’re talking about,” he said.

As for when he’ll decide, Whitehead said, “The fall, definitely.”
