Isaiah Whitehead enjoyed his weekend visit to Indiana and plans to return for an official visit, Lincoln head coach Tiny Morton told SNY.tv Tuesday.
“It went very well,” said Morton, who accompanied Whitehead. “There were a lot of questions answered. It was a great visit.”
Morton said Whitehead could potentially play either guard spot at Indiana, which just recently offered the New York City star.
“It’s open, he has a chance to play both positions if he wants,” Morton said.
Whitehead will also likely return for an official visit in the fall.
“I’m assuming he is going to take an official,” Morton said.
Whitehead, the co-MVP of the Elite 24 game Saturday night in Brooklyn after dropping 26 points in a winning effort for Team Coney Island, is also considering Arizona, UCLA, Minnesota and Syracuse. Louisville and Seton Hall have also been mentioned for visits.
Asked if any other visits were set, Morton said: “He’s got some in mind. We gotta make sure the dates are right.”
