Temple secured its first pledge in the Class of 2014 on Sunday when 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward Obi Enechionyia of St. James (Md.) High School verbally committed on Twitter.

Asked what he liked, he told SNY.tv: “Great coaching staff and team, loved the campus, great school and they’ve been with me since the beginning of my recruitment.”

An athletic four man who can play some three, Enechionyia also considered Miami, Loyola Marymount and Georgia Tech

“He’s a very skilled forward who can make shots and is very athletic,” Team Takeover coach Keith Stevens told SNY.tv.
