Ray Kasongo’s recruitment is open again after the 6-foot-9, 230-pound Canadian forward was denied admission to Oregon.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman on Twitter, and confirmed to SNY.tv by a source close to Kasongo.

The source said Kasongo is qualified academically and is now considering California, Florida and Memphis, and plans to visit Cal and Memphis first.

A source at one of the schools said a visit had not yet been confirmed.

Last fall, Kasongo committed to Oregon, then changed his mind and considered UConn before picking Oregon again.

Oregon has had a turbulent offseason in which three players — Brandon Austin, Damyeon Dotson and Dominic Artiswere dismissed from the team after they were named in an alleged on-campus sexual assault. Charges were never filed in the case.
