Tobias Harris was not at Saturday’s Notre Dame-UConn game, despite reports to the contrary. However, UConn coaches will go to watch the 6-foot-8 Harris sometime soon.
His Long Island Lutheran team plays the Collegiate School today in the Collegiate Invitational championship game at 3 p.m., but the snow will keep the UConn coaches away.
“We had a game yesterday,” Torrel Harris said. “We didn’t go to UConn.”
Tobias Harris played yesterday against Upper Room of Dix Hills, N.Y. and had a triple-double of 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Achraf Yocoubou, another UConn target, added 36 points.
“I like UConn a lot,” Harris told me recently. “I like the way they play and I like the game.”
He said UConn is the only school that has offered both Tobias and his brother Tyler.
“UConn is the only school that’s offered me and him,” Tobias said.
Tobias has a long list of schools including UConn, Tennessee, Louisville, Syracuse, Rutgers, Georgetown, Virginia, Maryland, Marquette, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, St. John’s, Boston College, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Indiana and USC.
