TAMPA, Fla.– Miles Bridges, one of the top players in the class of 2016 says that six schools are working the hardest at the moment.
“Louisville, Michigan State, Indiana, Iowa State, UConn and Pitt,” Bridges told SNY.tv after a win over Oldsmar Christian at the ARS Shootout at Berkeley Prep.
Ranked No. 7 in ESPN’s new Class of 2016 rankings, Bridges scored 16 points, and contributed consistently on both sides of the ball.
Bridges said that there are a couple factors that he will be looking at when the opportunity to take more visits comes around.
“The environment, the fan base, and the style of play,” Bridges said. “Looking for a team where I can play some run and gun. Team that gets out and runs.”
At 6-foot-7, Bridges is one of the most versatile players in the nation, regardless of class. He has a very high motor, and plays extremely good defense, especially off ball. He said the big focus for him getting better will be his ability to play multiple positions.
“Transitioning from a forward to a guard,” Bridges said. “My ball handling, my shooting, and my defense.”
Bridges said will be playing with The Family this summer on the EYBL circuit alongside other top prospects Brian Bowen and Cassius Winston.
“Possibly Josh Jackson,” Bridges said with a hopeful smile. “EYBL circuit was really fun. I feel like we’ll be good enough to get to Peach Jam and make a far run.”
