Kansas-bound shooting guard LaGerald Vick is expected to decide this week whether he will reclass to 2015 or remain in the Class of 2016.
“A final decision could be made mid- or late this week,” his AAU coach Norton Hurd told SNY.tv.
The 6-foot-5 2016 shooting guard from Memphis (TN) Douglass played very well this weekend at the Under Armour Association stop in Ardsley, N.Y.
On Friday night, he went for 25 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Supreme Court.
On Saturday, he went for 28 points and 7 rebounds in one game and 30 points and 8 boards in another.
On Sunday, he had 24 and 4 as Team Thad completed a 3-1 weekend.
“He’s just a natural born scorer,” Thaddeus Young told Evan Daniels of Scout.com. “He has the ability to control offenses a little bit. He’s patient and knows how to go get you a bucket and set other guys up.”
“He’s always been a good scorer it’s been a matter of getting him out on the circuit and letting everybody see it,” Young added. “He’s come into his own as a player and does a great job. He’s been working and he wants to learn and he’s hungry.”
If Vick does reclass, he will join a 2015 class that includes forwards Carlton Bragg and Cheick Diallo.
