T.J. Leaf enjoyed his official visit to UCLA this weekend but has no timetable on a decision at this point.
“It was good, I had a good time,”the 6-foot-9 Leaf out of El Cajon (CA) Foothills Christian said by text. “I like the coaches there and the school in general is really nice.”
Leaf said he would be used similarly to former UCLA standout Kevon Looney, a 6-9 power forward who was chosen No. 30 by the Golden State Warriors in the 2015 NBA Draft.
“[I would be] similar to how Kevon Looney played,” Leaf said. “Just versatile.”
Ranked the No. 5 power forward in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, Leaf is considering Oregon, UCLA and San Diego State. He took an official to Oregon two weeks ago and has been to San Diego State unofficially.
Leaf, decommitted from Arizona in August, has no timetable on a decision but would like to sign in the early signing period Nov. 11-18.
“That would be nice but I’m not going to make a decision if I’m not ready yet,” he said.
