SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Darius Perry had a very solid weekend for Game Elite at the Adidas Circuit Finale, but it wasn’t quiet. The 6-foot-2 Perry out of Marietta (GA) Wheeler averaged 15.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, and he did it with an attitude and a little bit of talking. “I always think that you can’t get into my head, but I can’t get into yours,” Perry told SNY.tv with a laugh. “I’m going to talk to you, and you can talk to me, but it won’t effect me because I’m always just going to play my game. I’m just going to try to get into your head and get you off of your game.” Ranked No. 48 in the class of 2017 by ESPN, Perry mentioned five schools that have been in contact consistently. “Iowa State, Seton Hall, Louisville, Georgia and Texas A&M are showing the most interest,” Perry said. “They’ve let me know that I can play, and run their team. They want to be the floor general. All of those schools let me know that they will count on me to execute and hit shots.” Perry did mention that he will be cutting his list to five by the end of July. “I’m going to cut my list down to five at some time this month,” Perry said. “I’ve visited Georgia and Texas A&M so far. I’m planning on going to Baylor, Louisville, Iowa State and Memphis for visits as well at some point in August.” As for visits, Perry says that he will be waiting to cut his list to decide for sure about where he will want to take official visits to. “I will probably take an official visit to Texas A&M, and Georgia,” Perry said. “I’m just waiting to cut my list down to five, then decide from there.” When Perry gets on campus, his approach to visits will be a bit different than what you might hear from a typical 17 year old. “I try not to focus on the campus as much to be honest,” Perry said. “Every school has a nice gym, a nice practice facility.
