Marcus Garrett, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound combo guard from Dallas (TX) Skyline, became Kansas’ first Class of 2017 pledge on Monday.

Garrett also considered SMU, Baylor, Iowa State, Oregon and Arizona.

“I believe that Kansas was the best place for me,” he told SNY.tv.

As for his skillset, he said, “I will be a hard-working young man that will compete and play defense and make other’s around him better.”
