UConn’s Terry Larrier Done for Season With Torn ACL

UConn was dealt a brutal blow on Wednesday when it announced that sophomore forward Terry Larrier will miss the remainder of the season with a torn left ACL.

The 6-foot-8 Bronx native injured his knee during a non-contact incident in Monday night’s loss to Oklahoma State at the Maui Invitational. He underwent an MRI on Tuesday.

He was averaging 13.5 points and 5.0 rebounds for the Huskies after sitting out last season following a transfer from VCU.

UConn is already without 6-8 freshman forward Mamadou Diarra, who has knee problems and is reportedly considering a medical redshirt. Meantime, freshman point guard Alterique Gilbert has a dislocated shoulder and is reportedly considering surgery.
