Sam Waardenburg, a 6-foot-9 skilled forward from New Zealand, has enrolled at Miami and will redshirt this season, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.

Waardenburg finished up at Rangitoto College, the same school that produced Kentucky’s Tai Wynyard, this month. He arrived on campus Wednesday and practiced Thursday. He will be a part of Miami’s freshmen class in the fall that also includes point guard Chris Lykes, shooting guard Lonnie Walker and power forward Deng Gak.
