FIBA is “strongly considering” moving the U19 World Championship out of Egypt after the terrorist attacks against Christian churches on Palm Sunday, a source told ZAGSBLOG.
It is unclear where the event would be moved to, but a source said there would be a bidding process to land the event.
Kentucky coach John Calipari is slated to coach the U.S. team at the event July 1-9 in Cairo. The Canadian team, meantime, is expected to feature Kentucky-bound guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
