JERSEY CITY, N.J. — While his Hudson Catholic teammate Jahvon Quinerly recently cut his list, Luther Muhammad has no plans to do so anytime soon.
“No, I don’t have no plans on doing that,” the 6-foot-4 Muhammad said during a Northeast Basketball Club run this week at Hudson Catholic. “I don’t really know what I’m going to do yet, I’m still on the edge.”
Muhammad listed Butler, Xavier, St. John’s, UMass, VCU, Oregon and Oregon State as some of the teams involved. He also recently visited Notre Dame and just picked up an offer from Arizona State.
Asked what he’s looking for, he said, “Basically a future after basketball because one day the ball going to stop so I’m looking for a school that’s going to offer me something I can do after basketball.”
Notre Dame this week picked up a commitment from 2018 point guard Prentiss Hubb of Washington, D.C. Gonzaga, but is still actively recruiting Muhammad, who has switched to the NY Rens on the Nike EYBL circuit from Sports U on the Under Armour circuit.
