Juwan Durham, the 6-foot-11 rising sophomore from UConn will transfer to Notre Dame, he announced Saturday via Twitter.
Due to the transfer, Durham will sit during his first year and have three years of eligibility remaining after that. As a transfer, Durham chose Notre Dame over Villanova and Virginia Tech. He took official visits to Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Villanova.
During his freshman year at UConn, Durham averaged 1.6 points per game and 1.5 rebounds in a little under 10 minutes of playing time per game. Although he was a four-star recruit out of Tampa (Fla.) Preparatory School, Durham never seemed to reach his full potential at UConn. As a senior in high school, Durham was rated the No. 46 overall recruit nationally, No. 12 power forward in the country and No. 5 player in Florida from the class of 2016.
