Malik Hall, the 6-foot-7 rising junior small forward from Sunrise Christian (KS) and MoKan AAU program, says five schools have been working on him the hardest: Illinois, Northwestern, Butler, Iowa, and Missouri. He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG.

Illinois: I haven’t talked to many of the new coaches except Underwood, but I love the way Coach Underwood plays.”

Northwestern: The thing I like most about Northwestern is the culture they have. They know what type of kids they want, and they stick with it and make the kids better which makes the program better.”

Iowa: I love their coaching staff. They have a different way of recruiting by getting to know you and not just pushing their program all the time. They give me good advice on my game and what I should keep improving on. Also, they have some strong recruiting classes coming in these next couple years too.”

Butler: I’m not completely sure yet about Butler because we just started talking not too long ago, but I do like their culture from past years.”

Missouri:“They definitely have made a major change. I like the coaches a lot they are all great people and great coaches. I also like the recruiting classes they are bringing in.”

Along with those five schools, Hall also took an unofficial visit to Kansas on June 14th.

“Their facilities were amazing. I also loved the great basketball minds they have on their coaching staff.”

This year on the EYBL Circuit for MoKan, Hall averaged 9.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in 16 games and helped his team to an 11-5 record and a berth in the Peach Jam.

Hall is three-star recruit per 247 and the third best player in the state of Kansas 2019 class.
