Che Evans, the 6-foot-7 shooting guard from Dulaney (MD) High School, told ZAGSBLOG on Wednesday that Maryland, Villanova, St. John’s, Michigan State, and Georgetown are the five schools recruiting him the hardest. He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG:

Villanova: “My coach stays in contact with Jay Wright a lot. I can’t talk to him, but he always calls my coach. I’m pretty sure they offered my junior year.

Maryland: “Their coach told me that he wants me to dominate the game. I’m not worried about offers right now but I want to dominate.”

St. John’s: “I’ve been there twice before on visits. Coach [Chris] Mullin is a Hall of Famer.”

Georgetown: “They are also recruiting me hard. I’ve sat down with the coaching staff for 30 minutes to an hour. I have a great relationship with Georgetown. It’s close to home. It’s not far at all. Coach Patrick [Ewing] is very welcoming. He doesn’t do that for a lot of kids. I go to a lot of their games.”

Michigan State: “I like Coach [Tom] Izzo and their assistant coach. I also like the way that they’ve worked with Miles Bridges.”

Evans said that Maryland is yet to offer, but has shown a lot of interest. He also mentioned that Michigan State is looking to have him visit campus.

According to 247Sports, Evans is ranked as the No. 48 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 3 player from the state of Maryland. He broke down his game:

“I’m an elite volume scorer, who’s athletic and can stretch the floor,” said Evans. “I’m an all around 6-foot-7 guard who can stretch the floor.”
