Trendon Watford, the 6-foot-8 forward from Mountain Brook (AL), is hosting several high-profile coaches for home visits this week.
Alabama coach Avery Johnson was in Thursday, and Indiana’s Archie Miller comes in Saturday, Ernest Watford, Trendon’s father, told ZAGSBLOG.
“[Johnson] just thought Alabama and his program are trending upward,” Ernest said. “Obviously he thinks Trendon can be a real positive game-changer, and he’s the right coach that will utilize all of his versatility. It was a great sit-down visit with a plethora of topics discussed.”
Watford was one of 21 players invited to the prestigious Next Generation Sunday Program at the Final Four. The players competed in games against overseas NBA Academies and also scrimmaged on the Alamodome floor.
