Shaheen Holloway has landed his first pledge as the new coach at St. Peter’s College.
And it’s a big one.
Majur Majak, the 7-foot-1 Class of 2018 center from The Patrick School and the NY Jayhawks, verbally committed to St. Peter’s on Tuesday.
“Majur is a game changer defensively with his ability to block multiple shots in one possession and rebound the ball,” Jayhawks director Jay David said. “He can switch out and guard along with covering a lot of space because of his quickness. He has an amazing opportunity to do something special in the MAAC.”
Holloway, of course, starred at St. Pat’s, and it seems fitting his first recruit is from his alma mater.
“Majur Majak is a very good addition for St. Peter’s,” Patrick School coach Chris Chavannes said. “Majur was without question one of our most improved players. Majur will be an immediate impact player for Coach Holloway.”
