Zeke Nnaji, the 6-foot-11 power forward from Hopkins (MN) and D1 Minnesota, took his first official visit to Kansas this past weekend one weekend after taking an unofficial to the Big 12 school.
“It was very informative for sure,” Apham Nnaji, the player’s father, said. “We were able to see the need for Zeke and all the support he’ll get should he decide to go there. Their message was for him to be a part of a winning program with proven track records to bring hard working kids to the next level.”
Kansas would ultimately love to add Nnaji in a frontcourt group that also includes targets Matthew Hurt and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Hurt and Nnaji are AAU teammates.
“They see him, Hurt and Robinson-Earl co-existing and really doing well,” Apham said previously. “Just like [Andrew] Wiggins and [Joel] Embiid did.”
Nnaji next visits Arizona (Oct. 12-14) for the Red/Blue Game before going to UCLA (Oct. 19-21), Baylor (Oct. 26-28) and Purdue (Nov. 2-4). His father said he will decide about Nov. 24.
