March Madness is only a month away.
So as we check in on Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology, it’s time for an update.
ESPN currently has Duke, Virginia, Tennessee and Gonzaga as the 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, with Michigan State, Kentucky, Michigan and North Carolina as the 2 seeds.
That would make three ACC teams among the top eight seeds, two Big Ten schools, two SEC schools and one WAC outfit.
The 3 seeds in include Houston, Purdue, Louisville and Kansas, while the 4s feature Villanova, Marquette, Virginia Tech and Nevada.
The SEC, Big 12, Big Ten and ACC each have eight schools in, while the American has four and the Big East is down to three. Three Big East schools — Butler, Creighton and Seton Hall — are among the First Four Out.
Hofstra, which rebounded from seeing its 16-game winning streak end by beating Elon on Thursday night, is currently a 12 seed.
