Rutgers guard Mike Rosario had a game-high 28 points on 9-of-19 shooting but Puerto Rico lost to Greece 107-98 on Friday.
Fordham guard Jio Fontan added 15 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
In Puerto Rico’s first game Thursday, Rosario notched 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in an 80-73 win over Lithuania.
Fontan added 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
Team USA improved to 2-0 Friday with a 71-55 victory over France in which Seth Curry of Duke had 12 points, Gordan Hayward of Butler had 11 and Ashton Gibbs of Pitt scored 10.
Kansas’ Tyshawn Taylor , the former St. Anthony of Jersey City star who could go to the NBA after this season, tallied 7 points and 5 assists.
**Rutgers football will play a home-and-home with UCLA beginning at Rutgers Stadium in 2016.
