Hunter Dickinson, the 7-foot-2 center from DeMatha Catholic (MD), took an official visit to Duke this past weekend (Oct. 18-20) for “Countdown to Craziness”.
“It was nice,” Dickinson told ZAGSBLOG Sunday via text. “[They’re message] is to come in and play a lot right away. What’s next is just try to keep narrowing it down.”
Other notable recruits in attendance this weekend included 2020 commits Jaemyn Brakefield, Jeremy Roach and Henry Coleman, as well as 2021 targets AJ Griffin and Paolo Banchero.
Before visiting Duke, Dickinson took an official visit to Notre Dame (Oct. 11-13).
“It was great. I enjoyed the visit,” Dickinson said. “Their practice facility is brand new and it has everything I would need.”
Dickinson also broke down his potential fit with the Fighting Irish.
“I feel like I’d fit right in,” he said. “They would surround me with four shooters which would allow me to go to work in the post.”
Dickinson, who cut his list to four earlier this month, has also taken official visits to Michigan (Sept. 7) and Florida State (Sept. 20).
According to 247Sports, Dickinson is ranked as the No. 34 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 2 player from the state of Maryland.
